For a third year, the Canadian Red Cross is funding 15 full-time psychotherapists positions at the hospital. With the support of the Canadian Red Cross, the mental health program at the Unbroken rehabilitation centre led by Dr. Oleh Berezyuk, head of psychological direction and psychosocial rehabilitation, has gained in popularity and is now imbedded in the other teams care plan at the hospital, such as surgery and physical rehabilitation. The Canadian Red Cross has been supporting the work of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society since the beginning of the armed conflict by providing emergency relief items, trained personnel, and funds to support various relief and recovery-focused programs: refurbishment, health care , mental health and psychosocial support as well as small grants to repair damaged homes.
