Existing DescriptionChina, Red Cross Society of China, coronavirus, 10th February 2020.
With support from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Red Cross Society of China purchased 55 negative pressure ambulances (with negative pressure compartment) using the social donations, the first batch of 5 negative pressure ambulances arrived in Wuhan on the morning of February 5, the remaining 50 are expected to arrive respectively on late February 5 and 6. These ambulances will be used in the Huoshenshan hospital and the Leishenshan hospital in Wuhan, and other frontlines in Hubei. The Red Cross society of China has made a plan to purchase 200 negative pressure ambulances from SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation) MAXUS, all of which will be used to support epidemic prevention and control in wuhan, hubei and other affected areas. Negative pressure ambulances are one of the key materials needed to deal with the epidemic. They are mainly used to transport infected patients. The negative pressure isolation compartment can minimize the cross-infection of doctors and patients, as well as the pollution of virus on the external environment, and prevent the further spread of the epidemic.
