Existing DescriptionOn March 13th, Tropical Cyclone Pam tore through Vanuatu and four other Pacific island nations. In Vanuatu thousands of homes were damaged and almost two thirds of the country’s population was affected. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) launched a major relief operation in support of affected communities in Vanuatu and also Tuvalu, Kiribathi, Solomon Islands and Papua new Guinea. One month on from the disaster, more than 20,000 people have received help.
