  • Summary In 1974 Red Cross Youth in the Federal Republic of Germany raised DM 120,000 to finance the building of a Red Cross Youth Centre in the People's Republic of Benin. Teams of young people, mostly from building and allied trades, spent their holidays working on the construction site with their local counterparts. The story of this youth adventure in development partnership is vividly illustrated, combining a step-by-step account of the project with a colourful introduction to the country.
